So. As most of you know I work at a bank where we deal with fraud checks at least once every 2 months. Today, I was the lucky one who tried to deposit one of those. Let's go back a little...

My last post was about this amazing nanny job, paying me $500 a week. I knew it was too good to be true. This guy that I've been e-mailing back and forth about the job sent me a check in the mail yesterday that was for $2,770. Weird, right? Well after I got the check, I looked at my e-mail and he said for me to take the $500 out for my first weeks payment, and then use the rest of the money to buy groceries and other small things for the house he'll be moving into in a few weeks. So I thought it made sense. But then I went to the bank this morning to deposit it, and we thought it was kinda weird that the check was from a company in some town in Massachusetts. So after LOTS of phone calls, we concluded that this check, indeed, is fraud.

BUMMER!!!

This was going to be the best nanny job I ever had! Watching a 3 year old boy for 20 hours a week, making $2000 a month! I did ask the man about it, but he has yet to respond. Lucky me. Now I'm back to working MAYBE 13 hours a week, getting paid crap. I knew life was going just too dang well for us.

Money!

So ever since Mike and I moved into this new apartment, our money has been going downhill. The rent here is about $75 more than our other one, which isn't horrible seeing as it's 3x bigger, but with the size, comes bigger bills. Our electric and gas bills are quite large. Mike is only working 20 hours a week, and if I'm lucky I get about 14 hours a week. So we are just barely getting by.

However, on Saturday I was looking at craigslist (love that website!) and I saw that there was a nanny job posting, so I e-mailed the person asking for more details, etc. Well the next day he e-mailed me back telling me that he and his family are moving here from LONDON! on June 5th, and need someone to help watch their 3 yr old son from the hours of 2pm-6pm. I thought those were pretty good hours, I could maybe get another day job or something. But then I read further and saw that I'll be making.....$500 a week!!! That's more than we make in a month! I said heck yes, and e-mailed him back answering the questions he had for me.

This morning I checked my e-mail again because I was anxious to see if he would choose me to watch his son, and he did!!! I'm going to be nannying a little boy from London 20 hours a week, making BANK!

Life is good for us right now. We love our new apartment, we love each other, and we love that we probably won't have to life paycheck to paycheck anymore! Thanks man from London!
