Blessing Day

The vest that he is wearing is over 60 years old. It was originally made for his grandpa for his blessing day, and since then, all the grandkids have worn it for their blessing.

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to have Landon blessed by his daddy at church. We were also privileged to have a lot of family come for it! Landon was lucky enough to see 3 grandmas, 2 grandpas, 1 uncle, 4 aunts, and 3 cousins! It was a fun and busy weekend with all of us, but I loved every minute of it. Except when Landon decided he didn't want to be happy during his blessing and cried :( But, nonetheless, it was a great weekend, and we loved seeing everyone!

We Survived!

...the first month of Landon's life, that is. We were grateful to have my grandma come up from Utah for 4 1/2 days to help us out right after Landon was born, so that was a blessing, and a few weeks after Grandma left, my mom and step-dad drove over from Washington to come see the baby and help for a weekend. I loved seeing them and spending time with them. We also got help from friends from my old work and the relief society bringing us dinners for a couple weeks, and we felt so spoiled! But all this was such a big help because Mike is in school ALL day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It gets pretty stressful when Landon just decides he wants to scream and cry for an hour for no reason, but I know we can get through the rest of it since we made it through the first month. When he is NOT crying, he's such a joy! We can look at his little face and just be in love. He makes us laugh with his funny expressions and serious eyebrows, I especially love when he cuddles with me after a feeding. He's such a sweet baby!

We went into the WIC office on Friday to get him added on, and they took his weight and height. He weighs 8 pounds, 4 ounces, and is 20 3/4 inches tall. Still pretty teeny, but that's another reason why we love him. He's so small still, and it's so precious! He's still wearing newborn diapers and clothes. He's only outgrown one outfit, and it was worn once. (It was a preemie size) Mike and I are tired, but it's all worth it when we see little Landon smile in his sleep, or make a silly face. We love our little man :)
