Father's Day/5 months

For Father's Day this year, Landon and I both got Mike separate presents. Landon put his right hand print onto a mini canvas and gave it to his Daddy, and I got Mike one of his favorite pictures from Deseret Book.

He enjoyed his day by sleeping in, having chicken BBQ wraps for dinner, and making cookie dough for dessert.

On another note, Landon is 5 months! I took him to the doctor on the 11th to check his height and weight, and he measured in at 24.5 inches (12th percentile) and 11lbs, 3oz (not on the chart). Since he isn't on the chart for weight, the doctor came in and suggested that I start supplementing him with formula. Unfortunately Landon won't take any kind of formula, so we're keeping him breast feeding, and eating solids. Lucky for us, we haven't found a solid food that he doesn't like (except barbecue sauce), so we're hoping he'll gain weight from that.

Mother's Day

This post is way overdue but I had a great Mother's Day this year. Although Mike and Landon woke me up at 6:00, they did make me breakfast in bed and made me this adorable card. Landon scribbled (with Daddy's help) and Mike wrote me a poem. I about cried when they brought it to me because Mike was holding Landon, and Landon was holding this card and he just looked so cute. Along with this card, they told me that I can go on a $35 shopping spree, because I need new clothes. So that weekend, we stopped at the ATM to get me some cash but it only came in $20 bills, so instead I got a $40 shopping spree! :) I got just what I needed, but wish we could afford for me to get some new shoes. (My feet grew while I was pregnant, so now only a couple pairs fit) It was a great first Mother's Day, but if it was up to me, Mother's Day wouldn't be just once a year, it would be once a month.
