Landon at 6 months

Well the little stinker is finally growing! He's doubled his birth weight, weighing in at 13lbs 2 oz.  I asked the doctor when babies typically double it, and he said a couple months haha. Oh well, I love that he's teeny. It's easier to cuddle and hold him that way. He is 25 inches long, so he's doing great at growing now. I think the solid foods are finally catching up to him. He's still in the 5th percentile for height, and 1st percentile for weight. His head, however, is in the 50th percentile, measuring in at 17.3 inches which is in the 50th percentile.
Little Landon is so much fun now! He can sit up on his own, which means that I can actually get things done, instead of waiting until he's asleep. He also notices all of his toys now. Before, he would only play with a couple, but now his toy box is emptied by our little monster daily. When he's sad or just wanting love, he only wants mommy, but he is all smiles and giggles when daddy comes home from school.
He loves his daddy so much, it's so adorable. I love watching them play. For a while, I was the only one who could get Landon to laugh, and it made Mike a little sad, but a week or so ago, he laughed for Mike really hard and it just melted my heart seeing that.
In addition to sitting all by himself, he can kind of army crawl across the floor on his belly to get to something. He's growing up too fast! We love our little man and can't imagine our lives without him.

4th of July!

This year for Independence Day, we didn't do anything spectacular. We went to the ward's breakfast, then had planned to go watch the parade, but Landon wanted to take a long nap and we missed all but 5 minutes of it. But I'd rather not see the parade than a crabby baby. After the parade we were walking around the park where there were lots of booths selling stuff, and out of nowhere, Miss Rexburg comes up to us and asks us if she can have a picture taken with Landon! So of course we said yes!

Trip to Washington

Last weekend, Landon and I got the chance to fly to Washington to see my big sister, Elise get married! We had to leave Mike behind because he was still in school and had to work. It was my first time being away from him since we were married :( But before we flew to Washington, we drove down to Lindon, UT to spend a relaxing day with Grandma Vella. I decided that it would be a lot easier to drive with Landon at night so he'll sleep most of the way there, which he did, thank goodness. While we were in Utah, we went on a short walk around the neighborhood with Grandma in the 90 degree weather, looked at the fruit trees in the backyard, and went to the mall with Auntie Cori. We had some time to kill, so we decided to stop in Gymboree which turned out to be a BIG mistake. I wanted to buy everything for Landon! I love baby clothes, and apparently Cori love hats, because she bought Landon 3 little hats.

While we were paying for the hats, we found these adorable sunglasses that were just the right size!  No, we didn't buy these.

The next morning, Cori, Grandma, Landon and I loaded into the car and drove to the airport bright and early. We flew to Washington and were so excited to be back to the trees and green! Landon did pretty well on the airplane, only getting fussy when we were descending.
For the next couple days, it was all wedding! There were trips to Costco, beauty salons, flowers to be organized, family dinners, etc. Elise and Jason had a beautiful wedding and fun reception.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Katwijk!

Landon was overwhelmed with love from everyone he saw. He got so many hugs and kisses, and so many presents! We actually had to bring home a small duffle bag for the gifts people gave him because it all wouldn't fit in the suitcase we brought.

His new favorite thing-chewing on his toes

My beautiful baby one morning.

These guys love the TV! (Grandpa Coon)

Although I didn't get pictures with them, he met his Grandpa Dan, Great-Grammie, and Aunt Joy for the first time! Landon loved playing with them. This was a fun and very stressful trip for both of us, but I have decided that next time I fly to Washington, Mike is coming along!
