Like most people, I hate getting out of bed. I usually try and think of the reason I have to, and I usually come up with many good ones. Like, "I'll be late for work" or "Mike won't be happy if he comes home at 2 and sees me laying in bed". So I get up and get going on my day.
This morning happened to be a Sunday morning and I woke up to the soundtrack to The Prince of Egypt playing in the kitchen and sunshine bursting through the closed blinds. I just happen to LOVE this soundtrack, and who can resist the sun? I got up with a smile on my face and walked into the kitchen to find my AMAZING husband making coffee cake. He makes it every Sunday morning when we have a later church, but it still makes me happy.
When we have church at 1:30, it gives us time to do things that we normally wouldn't do any other mornings. We don't really have many things to worry about, except which shoes will match my outfit :) So we can make big breakfasts, play games with each other, watch a church movie, study church doctrine, read up on the lessons that will be taught in church, take a nap, scrapbook, etc. I love spending Sunday mornings with my husband, and I'm looking forward to spending them with my children as well.
